Marathon Training - Week 2

Wednesday, May 9th - 4 mile speedwork

Perfect day for a run! Warm, but not hot, and sunny!

Only got in 3.84 miles for this one, but my splits were perfect -- actually, a little faster than they should have been.

My training plan had me doing two speed miles at a 7:57/mile pace, with a half-mile jog in the middle.

I was pushing for those two miles, but not going all-out (mostly because I knew I was going faster than what I should have been).

That really makes me hopeful that I can get my 5K time down even more!

But sadly, I didn't see any four-leaf clovers. :(

Unfortunately, that's the only run I did last week. Once again life threw some things my way and I just couldn't seem to find the time or energy to squeeze anything else in.

Even though I haven't run yet this week and it's already almost Wednesday, I'm determined to get back on track with my program -- hopefully starting tomorrow.
