Baby G's 10 Month Update

Yet another month has flown by. Routine-wise things are going great around here, but I wish time would go a little slower sometimes.

I can't imagine everything I'd miss out on if I wasn't able to work from home for part of the week.

And this boy is into EVERYTHING now! The majority of our day is spent chasing him around.

As frustrating as it can be sometimes, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Baby jeans!

We're still doing the same schedule I talked about last month, and it's still working really well.  Here's a typical day:

7-7:30am Wakes up, gets a 6oz bottle
8:00am Breakfast!
8:30am - 11:00am Running errands (as needed)/play time
11:00am Lunch!
11:30am-12:00pm Quiet time in his room/book reading
12:00pm-3:00pm Nap time
3:00pm Wakes up, 6oz bottle
3:30pm-5:30pm More errands, more play time
5:30pm Dinner!
6:00-7:00pm Even more play time
7:00pm Bath time
7:30pm 6oz bottle
8:00pm Bed time

I love that he took so well to the one nap a day thing. Back when he was doing two, it felt like we never had any time to get anything done (since he was only up for a couple hours at a time, and only napped for an hour or two). But now he's staying up 4-5 hours and sleeping for 2-3... it's awesome!

Or at least it was, until...

Yep, our little boy has finally cut some teeth! I'm having some mixed emotions here, though, because I absolutely LOVE his cute, toothless smile. But I know it had to happen eventually.

So while the schedule has been working great, the last week or so has been really tough for our little guy. There were some nights where he would cry like he's never cried before, but he would settle back down after we gave him some Motrin.

It's just so hard to see him in pain like that.

You could just tell he didn't feel good, but it mostly seemed to affect him when he tried to sleep. His 2-3 hour nap during the day would sometimes only last for about 45 minutes.

But when he was awake, he was just as happy as ever.

What a champ!

The two teeth he's been working on (his top two front teeth) finally broke through earlier this week, and you can tell he's getting back to his usual self (he's taken a couple of 3 hour naps again and has even slept through the night again -- woo hoo!).

On The Move

We finally broke down and installed one of these...

And this is his new favorite toy:

I'm still thinking he'll be walking by Christmas.

His Favorite Things

One of his favorite things is going for a run.

He rarely naps in the stroller, even when he's tired. He just loves being outside and looking at all the new sights and sounds.

Gym Childcare

He also (thankfully) loves the childcare at the gym. He doesn't mind being away from us, and honestly, I think he likes having different toys and kids to play with.

On this day I caught him trying to eat the rug.

Look at that smile! He was cracking up at it!
We've never had any issues with him going there, which is really nice since it gives us some time to get in a good workout when the weather doesn't cooperate.

Looking Out the Window

Like I mentioned earlier, this boy loves the outdoors.

He'll do anything to look out the window...

Umm, a little help here!

Usually before we put him down for his nap we let him look outside for a few minutes.

Robot PJs... I die!
I wish I knew what he was thinking sometimes. Like on this day, he was CRACKING UP that Hunter was outside.

For whatever reason, it's hilarious to him when the dogs are in the back yard.

Playing in the Tupperware Cabinet

Dog Toys

I don't even know why we bother buying him kid toys.

He LOVES books!

We've even caught him sitting and flipping through books all on his own.

And last but not least, last month we got to celebrate his...

First Halloween!

He went as a saggy baggy elephant, and was pretty much cuter than he's ever been.

Ahh! Look at that little tail!!

We had some friends over and it was hands-down the best Halloween we've had together (B was actually really into it this year, and even let us paint his face!).

We made sure to take the baby up to some houses so he could get us lots of candy learn what Halloween was all about.

He was pretty confused, but I think he had fun.

Yeah, it's been a really good month. If you've missed any updates you can catch up on them here:
